The 2017 DSCC will continue the tradition of earlier ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Conferences in providing students and young professionals with activities and events tailored to their careers and needs.  We are pleased to announce the following activities and events.

DSCC 2017 Best Student Paper Competition

Wednesday, October 11th
6:00pm – 8:00pm
Great Falls Room

This year's finalists for the Best Student Paper Competition have been announced. The 6 Best Papers will be presented twice! Once in their original, intended session and as well as a designated Best Student Paper Session that will begin prior the start of the DSC General Meeting on Wednesday evening.

The DSCC 2017 Student Career Advising / Networking Event

Thursday, October 12th
12:00pm – 1:30pm
This event will feature a collection of accomplished individuals from academia, national labs and industry, on hand to share insights and provide advice based on their successful careers in the field of controls. Students are encouraged to come with specific questions or simply listen in on topics of discussion of interest. Join us for an opportunity to network and learn more about shaping your career. Lunch will not be served. Students are encouraged to grab lunch prior to or after their participation in this event.

DSCC 2017 Student Travel Grants

Small grants have been made available to help defray the cost of conference-related registration, travel, hotel, and meal expenses by student attendees. The intent of these grants is not to cover all conference-related student expenses, but rather to partially assist students with these costs. The deadline for requesting the grant has passed and eligible students have already been notified. If you are not sure if you've been approved, please send an email to:
