Akiyama Medal

Akiyama Medal

Best Student award in ICONE Student Competition

At every ICONE conference, Akiyama Medal is presented to the best paper award winner from the student paper competition of ASME, CNS, and JSME. The award was established in memory of Prof. Mamoru Akiyama (1935-2009). Prof. Akiyama was a professor emeritus at the department of nuclear engineering at the University of Tokyo, and he was one of the founding members of the ICONE conference.
